Hair Method Academy is Hawaii's newest advanced hair school, specializing in producing the next generation of luxury salon stylists. We teach all the latest techniques and trends, with a goal to elevate Hawaii as a hair and fashion destination. Our students will be empowered to start their careers on a track to be top earners at any salon.
What Makes Us Different
Our curriculum is driven by Hair Method Academy founder and owner Gizell Ancheta. Gizell is a nationally recognized hair stylist with over 20 years of experience and is a national educator for Duomo Professional Color and Hattori Hanzo Shears. She has created a curriculum from her own professional experience, as well as from top industry educators including Cole Thompson's Elevation H+ curriculum.

Cole Thompson is originally from Manchester, England, and began his career in hair in 2003.
Elevation H+ Curriculum Highlights
Technique
We will cover hair cutting and styling techniques, including edge, volume, and separation.
Shape
In reaching the desired shape, you will learn round, square, and triangle cutting techniques.
Sectioning
We will cover key steps to properly frame and section hair horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
Color
Our curriculum includes learning color techniques, from formulation, solid, blended, toning, bleaching, freehand and foil.

We understand the cost of tuition can be a challenge for many students, and we’re here to help. We’ve started a scholarship fund to provide tuition to two students per year, and we can connect others with resources for other scholarships and financial aid. A variety of loans and scholarship packages may be available.
